James G. Atkinson Memorial Park has widely varied facilities to meet the needs of all age groups. These include two playgrounds, picnic pavilion, amphitheater for Park and Recreation's Summer Concert Series, eight tennis courts with lighting, two basketball courts, with lighting, three softball/soccer/football fields with lighting, one baseball/soccer/football field, over a mile of jogging/bicycling trails, exercise course,and the Millennium Plaza.

James G. Atkinson Memorial Park is a 66-acre recreation area. This family-oriented facility has lighted softball/soccer fields; lighted tennis and basketball courts; exercise trail for walking, jogging, and bicycling; two playgrounds and picnic areas. There is a pavilion that groups can reserve along with a ball field for their group's outing. Gloucester County Parks and Recreation offers a free Summer Concert Series every Sunday during June, July and August at James G. Atkinson Memorial Park.  The newest addition to the park is the Millennium Plaza, featuring walking path, benches and sundials representing the past and present.  On the plaza is a memorial to James G. Atkinson.
