Description: The Gloucester County Division of Addiction Services Office is responsible for coordinating substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation services for Gloucester County .
There are two components:
County Rehabilitation Services.
Countywide Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.
Local Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (LACADA): The LACADA meets 6 times per year at the County Office of Education (Sewell) to coordinate the countywide needs assessment and program funding. The LACADA develops an Annual County Comprehensive Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Plan, and County Municipal Alliance Plan. The volunteer members are appointed annually by the freeholders.
Rehabilitation Services : New Jersey Department of Human Services grant dollars are used for the following services for medically indigent and low income clients;
Adult and Adolescent Evaluations,
Adult and Adolescent Prevention, Education, and Intervention
Adult and Adolescent Outpatient and Residential Treatment and Aftercare,
Adult Halfway House Extended Care,
24 Hour Hotline,
Education and Counseling in the Youth Shelter,
Education Counseling in the County Jail
Municipal Alliance Program: The New Jersey Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse provides the funding for township initiatives to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse. Community resident volunteers support prevention efforts and are appointed by the mayors. All 24 municipalities in Gloucester County are participating. Under guidelines, Municipal Alliances plan and implement prevention programs individualized to meet their community needs.

In compliance with the Intoxicated Resource Act, known as the Intoxicated Driving Program, originally enacted under Chapter 66A of the State of New Jersey, every County is required by the State of New Jersey to provide an Intoxicated Driving Program to County residents. The County of Gloucester hereby designates Straight & Narrow, Inc. as the provider of services relative to second time, DUI sentenced offenders to a 48-hour Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) Program. Straight & Narrow, Inc. is located at 182 First Street, Passaic, NJ 87055 and their phone number is (973) 777-2048.
Be advised that all initial scheduling for the 48 hour IDRC Program shall be completed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Addiction Services, Intoxicated Driver’s Program. The phone number for Initial Scheduling is: (609) 588-3530 or (609) 588-3531. Rescheduling shall be completed by Straight & Narrow, Inc. at the phone number listed above.
